The Cartagena Jazz Festival is canceled. I encourage all my colleagues who have tried so hard. We will be back!
The tickets purchased will be returned automatically as of tomorrow, Friday, October 30, for those who bought them over the Internet, and at the box office for those who bought them in person.
The Cartagena Jazz Festival is back, the program for this 39.5th edition (the Cartagena City Council has reserved the 40th for next year) has as its headquarters the Nuevo Teatro Circo, the El Batel Auditorium and the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center.
Due to the pandemic, street concerts are no longer held, replaced by the ‘Jazz y Cañas’ program, sponsored by Estrella de Levante, which will take place at the Batel Wall Terrace, four Saturdays at noon. The space will be distributed by tables of 4, 3 and 2 people, and at the same time that the concert is being held, the aperitif can be enjoyed. There will be no bar service. Yes table service.
At this time, all the concerts, come out with a sale of 100 tickets. Both El Batel, and the Nuevo Teatro Circo, have already presented their contingency plans to the Ministry of Health of the Region of Murcia, and are waiting to know the total number of tickets that can be sold. That is why this year the festival organization has canceled the season tickets and tickets can only be purchased for each of the concerts, both individually and for groups of 2, 3 and 4 people.
The Cartagena City Council is going to guarantee the citizens a festival with all the hygienic-sanitary measures necessary to ensure public health. In compliance with the regulations and the recommendations of the competent authorities, all cultural activities in this program will be subject to the changes required by the health situation. The money for the tickets will be returned immediately, if the concert has to be suspended or you have to cancel tickets.
